Mr. Organ came to Nebraska with his parents in 1892, the Organ family settling on a farm near Edgar. November 26, 1903, he married the former Stella Hart in Lincoln, Nebr. Three children were born to this union: Charles Organ of Anaheim, Calif., Mrs. Lela Hansen of Edgar, and Mrs. Dorothy Turbak of Riverside, Calif. He was a member of Edgar Methodist Church, the Lions Club of Edgar, Masonic Lodge No. 67 AF and Am, Edgar Chapter No. 22 of the Royal Arch Masons, Mt. Nebo Commandery No. 11 Knights Templar and the Tehama Temple of the Order of the Mystic Shrine. In addition to his wife and children, Mr. Organ is survived by five grandchildren, Donald Organ, Dean & Patricia Hansen, Kay Ann and Susan Turbak; two great-grandchildren, Bruce and Lesyle Organ; three brothers: Will and Earl Organ of Edgar, Lester Organ of Stockton, Calif., and one sister. Mrs. Elsie Sugden of Fullerton, Nebr. Edgar Methodist Church mourns because it has lost one of its most loyal and devoted members. The entire city of Edgar and its surrounding community also know that a true and trusted friend has gone to his reward. Services were held in the Edgar Methodist Church Thursday afternoon, Nov 11, 1954 at 2 o'clock with the message being brought by the pastor, the Rev. Harry Gleim. A male quartet composed of Robert Mikkelsen, Daryle Hunt, J. M. and Harold McGhie sang "Does Jesus Care," and "Going Down the River." Masonic rites followed the regular church service and the committal in Edgar Cemetery was also in charge of the Masonic Lodge. Pallbearers were: A. H. Swanson, C. H. Merrill, Willard S. Avery, Dr. F.M. Harbaugh, Carlos Bascom and B. G. Rydholm. Flower committee was Mr. and Mrs. Clark Kinnision, Mrs. B. G. Rydholm and Lois and Carol Wilton.
