She married Boyd U. Bentz Jan. 27th 1913, in Abilene and they moved to Emporia later the same year. Mr. Bentz died Nov. 6th, 1947. she is survived by one son, Boyd E. Bentz Jr., New Brighton, Minn., three daughters, Mrs. Carl Shaw, Osage City, Mrs. Wayne Wright, Mulvane, and Mrs. William Bancord, Raytown, Mo.; a brother, O.E. Gordon, Denver, Colo.; two granddaughters and four grandsons. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service of that church, and the Women's Benefit Association.
