Description	:	Robert W. Fox, the son of Joseph G. and Jane Drake Fox, was born at Gallipolis, O., June 13th, 1866. He finished his earthly life on the morning of June 22, 1951, at the age of 86 years and 9 days. His parents came to Geneva in 1885. He remained in Ohio until 1892, when he came to Nebraska and located on a farm southeast of Geneva. Fox, the son of Joseph G. and Jane Drake Fox, was born at Gallipolis, O., June 13th, 1866. He finished his earthly life on the morning of June 22, 1951, at the age of 86 years and 9 days. His parents came to Geneva in 1885. He remained in Ohio until 1892, when he came to Nebraska and located on a farm southeast of Geneva. He had learned watch repairing before coming west and continued to do this work in connection with his farming for a while. Four years ago he retired from the farm and moved to Geneva, where he resided until the time of his death. May 20, 1896, he and Miss Minnie Shackelford were united in marriage. They became the parents of two daughters, Grace, who resides at home, and Ruth, who is a technician in the Essex County Sanatorium, Verona, N.J. Mrs. Fox passed away May 16th, 1944. Mr. Fox had three brothers, E. L., who resides in Geneva; and Asa and Edgbert, deceased. There were seven sisters, Mrs. R. L. Wolverton of Shelton, Mrs. Cora Shackelford of Geneva, and Mrs. Howard Miller of Mankato, Minn. Those deceased were Mrs. Rhoda Stephenson, Mrs. Mary Dodson, Orpha Jesse, and Mrs. W. A. Churchill. There is also a brother-in-law, Frank Shackelford of Minneapolis, Minn. In his early years he united with the Christian Church, a country church near the early family homestead. In the way of this faith, he established a way of life on good habits, he belonged to a good family, he made a good home for his loved ones and he believed in the good way of living Memorial services were held at the Kritner Funeral Home in Geneva Monday afternoon, June 25th, 1951. A male quartet composed of Ralph Reemts, Wallace Swanson, Lloyd London and C. M. Humphrey, sang “In the Garden” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere”, accompanied at the piano by Miss Marian Humphrey. Dr. Frank E. Pfoutz, minister of the Geneva Methodist Church gave the funeral tribute. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal June 28th, 1951 page 1.
