April 28, 1973 - Carroll Daily Times - Mrs. Edna Stratemeyer, 89, of Madelia, Minn., formerly of Carroll and Lake City, died April 20 at the Medelia Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day. Services were held at 9:30 a.m. April 23 at the Sandberg-Cummins Funeral Home in Madelia; burial was that afternoon at the Carroll City Cemetery. They were the parents of Wilma. April 28, 1973 - Carroll Daily Times - Mrs. Edna Stratemeyer, 89, of Madelia, Minn., formerly of Carroll and Lake City, died April 20 at the Medelia Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day. Mrs. Stratemeyer, daughter of Benjamin and Mina Wilmers, was born in Carroll Sept. 13, 1883. She was married here to Realto Stratemeyer Oct. 12, 1904, and they lived in Emmetsburg until moving to Carroll in 1923. After her husband's death in 1934, Mrs. Stratemeyer made her home in Lake City until 1948, when she moved to Madelia. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Madelia, the Presbyterian Women's Assn., and of the P.E.O. Sisterhood since 1917. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Frederiksen of Madelia; a grandson, Robert Frederiksen of Walker, Minn.; and two great grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death in addition to her husband.
