Hayes and Mary Ann Williamson Hayes, was born on July 22, 1882, near Brownstown, Ohio, and departed this life in Georgetown, Ohio, on Feb. 21, 1959. She lived her entire life near Brownstown until four years ago, when she moved to Georgetown. Early in life she united with the Methodist Church in Sardinia, where she maintained active membership until she came to Georgetown. On Jan. 8, 1956, she transferred her membership to the First Methodist Church of Georgetown. On Jan. 30, 1907, she was united in marriage to Melville Wardlow. To this union were born three children, Gladys (Mrs. Ora R. Miller); Pauline (Mrs. Orval Bradford), both of Georgetown, Ohio, and Everett Wardlaw, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Her husband preceded her in death on Aoril 23, 1930. She was one of a family of seven, all of whom have preceded her in death, four of them going in infancy, and two sisters, Clara Maul, in 1952, and Lizzie Foster, in 1958. Mrs. Wardlow was interested in and loved the finer things of life. She loved her church and attended faithfully. She enjoyed its services and when she could she served in the church. For a number of years she was the church organist. She was always willing to do what she could, both for the church and for her family and friends. She loved flowers and birds and the things of nature.
