Ouellette, 72, Clay Center, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1989, at the Medicalodge, Clay Center. Mrs. Ouellette was, born Edna Ferron on Oct. 3, 1917, near St. Joe. After her marriage she farmed with her husband south of Clyde until 1946. They moved to Clifton and opened a restaurant and operated it until 1952. They then opened the Silver Dollar Tavern, Clay Center, in 1952, which they operated until 1976 when they sold the business. They moved into Clay Center in 1960. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Eagles Auxiliary, both of Clay Center. Her husband, Louis "Biz," died in 1981; and an infant son preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, R.G. "Jerry" of Clay Center and Bernard of Garland, Texas; a daughter, Annette Woodbury of LaCrosse; a brother, Roland of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Lena Acebo of Belleville, Texas, and Rose Mary Miller of Topeka; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four step-greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Clay Center, Monsignor John George Weber officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the Neill-Schwensen Funeral Home, Clay Center. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
