Description	:	Funeral services for Edna Placek, 90, of Creighton were held Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton. Pastor Milana Joseph officiated with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were her grandchildren. Edna M. Suhr, the daughter of Albert and Marie (Sonder) Suhr, was born on April 1, 1917 near Creighton. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church at Bazile Mills, where she also attended Christ Lutheran Parochial School for eight years. Suhr, the daughter of Albert and Marie (Sonder) Suhr, was born on April 1, 1917 near Creighton. She worked in a bakery in Des Moines, IA, the Hested Stores and Creighton Dry Goods. Mrs. Placek was a member of the Busy Bee Club, Senior Citizen's, VFW Auxiliary and Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton. She died Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Creighton Care Centre. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Lorinda and Galen Hoferer of Sioux City, IA, Ardyce and Dale Fuchtman and Janet and Ray Naprstek of Creighton; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Herb and Betty Suhr of Creighton, Carl Suhr and friend, Mildred, of Hershey and Allen and Barbara Suhr of Pamona, NJ; in-laws, Kenneth Johnson of Wayne, Dale Johnson of Belgrade, MT, Allen and Mary Johnson of Pleasanton, CA, Paul and Loretta Hohnson of Des Moines, IA, Gordon and Heidi Johnson of Leander, TX and Fern and Tom Ades of Des Moines, IA and nieces and nephews.
