Description	:	Edna M. Jackson - age 96, of Pocahontas, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, at the Pomeroy Care Center in Pomeroy, Iowa. Edna was born April 21, 1919, near Palmer. She was the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Schoon) Krie. Edna was educated in the country schools near Palmer. On April 29, 1937, Edna married Owen Jackson in Palmer. Read More	Edna M. Jackson - age 96, of Pocahontas, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, at the Pomeroy Care Center in Pomeroy, Iowa. Edna was born April 21, 1919, near Palmer. She was the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Schoon) Krie. Edna was educated in the country schools near Palmer. On April 29, 1937, Edna married Owen Jackson in Palmer. They farmed near Palmer and in 1965 they moved to Pocahontas. Edna kept busy working at the Pocahontas Manor and Pocahontas Hospital. She was also a receptionist for a number of years at the Gonnerman Veterinary Office. Edna and Owen enjoyed camping and fishing and going to Arizona for the winters. Owen passed away in 1985. She entered the Pomeroy Care Center in January of 2012. Edna was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Sewing Club and Coffee Club. She especially enjoyed her grandkids, great-grandkids and treasured her trips to Florida. Edna is survived by her sons; Dennis (Marilyn) Jackson of Naples, Florida, Darrel (Gloria) Jackson of Pocahontas and David (Chris) Jackson of Cedar Falls; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Owen, twin sister, Etta Francis and sister Bertha Reiter.
