Read More	Dayton Review February 9, 1933 Edna Pauline Burke, daughter of the late Charles A. and Anna Peterson Burke, was born at Dayton, Webster County, Iowa, on the old Gabrielson farm, north of town, and passed away after a lingering illness in much suffering, in the full prime of her young womanhood at Woodward, Iowa, at the age of 33 years, 9 months, 3 days. Her early childhood was spent in this community, afterwards moving with her parents to Spencer, Iowa, and with them later to Madrid and Des Moines. She was united in marriage to Harold O. Hollison at Spirit Lake, Iowa, October 6, 1920, and shortly thereafter they moved to Woodward, Iowa, where the remainder of her life was spent. Two children were born of their happy union, a son and a daughter, Edwin Burke Hollison and Lois Marjorie, who survive to mourn with the sorrowing husband, her passing all too early from life's activity, and the splendid home life she gave her loved ones. She was loved by all. She entered wholheartedly into the life of her community, as she did in her home and in her friendships, and she had won a host of friends, who will miss her influence in the lives of those around her. Reared in the Lutheran faith, she became a member of that church in Spencer by confirmation in 1915, and cherished its teachings and its consolation both in suffering and in patience. She rejoiced in the assurance of grace, and in peace of heart as a child of God, and so she passed trustingly into the Great Beyond. Her funeral was held on Sunday afternoon January 22 from the Cooper-Kelley Funeral Home at Woodward, Iowa, Rev. C.O. Nelson, pastor of the Lutheran Church in Madrid, in charge. Six cousins of the deceased, Clarence and Earl Stephenson, Clemens Burke, and Victor, Ray, and Lester Gabrielson, served as pallbearers. Interment was made beside her parents in the Burke family lot in Dayton Cemetery. Though her life on earth was short in years it was in the splendid services of duty where she gave in her earnest work for all.
