Description	:	Edward Allen Sullivan was born on a farm southeast of Beemer July 4, 1872. He attended the country school and spent some time at the Fremont Normal. He was a member of the M. E. church, being one of its official members for many years. He was also a member of the Board of Education. On February 26, 1902, he was was (sic) married to Lura M. Read More	Edward Allen Sullivan was born on a farm southeast of Beemer July 4, 1872. He attended the country school and spent some time at the Fremont Normal. He was a member of the M. E. church, being one of its official members for many years. He was also a member of the Board of Education. On February 26, 1902, he was was (sic) married to Lura M. Purrington and settled on a farm northeast of town where he had since made his home. He was taken sick Sunday, March 13, but was up and about his work again Monday. Thursday while helping the workmen build a hog shed he was stricken with pain and carried to the house and at 5:30 that evening a doctor was called, who pronounced it Acute Appendicitis and said an operation was necessary. He was taken to the local hospital and the operatio performed at noon Friday. He steadily grew weaker until the end which came at 5:45 o'clock Wednesday morning, March 23, 1921. Deceased leaves to mourn his untimely death a sorrowing wife and 5 sons and 2 daughters: Edward Allen, Gladys May, Herbert Tracy, Erva Irene, Dwight LeRoy, Chester James and Warren Alonzo; also 3 brothers and 2 sisters; James Milton, George W., Robert E., Josie M. and Bessie Sheperdson, all of whom attended the funeral except Robert E. Deceased, having lived practically all of his life in this vicinity, was known and respected by all. He was devoted to his family and as a friend and neighbor was ever ready to extend the helping hand. The funeral was held from the home and the M.E. church Friday afternoon, Rev. Pinckney of Carelton, formerly pastor here, assisted by the present pastor, Rev. Piersol, officiating, and interment made in the Beemer cemetery. To the bereaved wife and children and brothers and sisters we extend heartfelt sympathy.
