Read More	Dell was the son of Chester Crossett and Miranda B Lindsey (1825 MA). He married Mary Peck on May 31, 1881 in Carroll, Iowa. They were the parents of Ellen, Chester, Grace and Agnes. Sibling: William L (1845 MA) Feb 15, 1928 - Carroll Times - Edward Bedell Crossett died at his home on North Clark street Thursday afternoon, February 9, at 4 o'clock, after an illness extending over a period of six months. For many years he had been a sufferer with asthma, but the ailment which caused his death was a complication of troubles. During his entire illness and the years of suffering with asthma he was very patient and uncomplaining. Mr. Crossett was born in Huntington, Mass., February 24, 1852, and was the son of Dr. and Mrs. Chester Crossett. He was left an orphan at the age of six years and was reared to young manhood by his grandfather. His death takes the last of his father's family. Coming west to Webster City when 17 years old he remained there for a time before coming to Carroll, where he lived continuously, except for three years spent in Boone. For many years he was employed by the late L.T. Anderson in the harness store, working in the manufacturing department. When he was unable to do inside work because of asthma difficulties he learned the painters trade, which he followed until prevented by illness. Mr. Crossett was married in this city May 31, 1881, to Miss Mary Peck, who survives him. Four children were born: Mrs. O.G. Jones of Onawa; Mrs. T.J. Brackett, Chester H. Crossett and Mrs. W.C. Pruss, all of Carroll. He is also survived by ten grandchildren. Mr. Crossett was a kindly unassuming man, whose greatest delight was his home and his family. He was of an even temperament and was always pleasant and agreeable and delighted in meeting and conversing with his friends. In his passing another early resident of the city has been removed. Funeral services were conducted at the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. W.H. Parker, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating.
