The body, accompanied by the widow, was brought to Villisca, arriving here Wednesday morning and was taken to the Sutphen Funeral Parlors where it remained until time for the funeral services. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. W. F. Clayburg, pastor of the church in charge. Burial was in the Findley Cemetery north of Villisca of Villisca, near where the deceased was a resident from 1894 to 1901. Pall bearers for the last rites Thursday were Joseph, Leland, and Lasure Ridnour and Clarence, Roy and George Findley. Singers were Mrs. Albert F. Davie and Mrs. Cy Underwood, accompanied at the pipe organ by Mrs. J. L. Wheeler. Mr. Ridnour was born near Clarinda, Iowa, on February 14, 1871, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Ridnour. He was united in marriage in Clarinda, November 29, 1894, to Leona Maude Findley and they moved to a farm north of Villisca where they lived until 1901. Three children were born to Mr. and MRs. Ridnour, two of whom, an infant son and a daughter, Mona Faye, died and were buried in the Villisca Cemetery. Besides his widow, Mr. Ridnour leaves a son, Everett Glea, of Polson, Montana; four brothers, Rufus, Nodaway; James, New Market; Bell, Shambaugh, and Fred of near Clarinda; two sisters, Mrs. H. O. Vance of near New Market and Mrs. Harriett Hodge of Toledo, Ohio. The family moved from the vicinity north of Villisca in 1901 to Washburn, North Dakota, where they made their home until 1921, moving then to near Polson, Montana, where they had since resided. While a resident of North Dakota, Mr. Ridnour engaged in stone masonry work which he learned while a young man. Aside from that employment, his life work was farming.
