Description	:	Sarah Catherine, daughter of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Ridnour, was born March 10, 1863, in Illinois, and passed away after a period of illness at her home near North Grove, Ia, at 11:30 pm April 21, 1938, at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 11 days. She was united in marriage to W.M. Kendrick at Clarinda, Ia, in March, 1887. To this union was born five children. One son, Benjamin, preceded her in death, and Mr Kendrick died Dec 7, 1892. Read More	Sarah Catherine, daughter of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Ridnour, was born March 10, 1863, in Illinois, and passed away after a period of illness at her home near North Grove, Ia, at 11:30 pm April 21, 1938, at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 11 days. She was united in marriage to W.M. Kendrick at Clarinda, Ia, in March, 1887. To this union was born five children. One son, Benjamin, preceded her in death, and Mr Kendrick died Dec 7, 1892. On July 18, 1898, she was united in marriage to Hose Vance. To this union was born two children, both preceding their mother in death. Mrs Vance united with the Methodist church at Guss in 1908. She was a devoted wife and a kind and loving mother. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband; four daughters, Viola Kendrick of New Market, Ia, Mrs May Friedrick of Toppenish, Wash, Mrs Caroline King of Corning, Ia, and Mrs Lena King of Prescott, Ia; three brothers, Rufus Ridnour of Nodaway, Ia, Fred of Bedford and James of North Grove; one sister, Mrs Harriett Hodge of Portsmouth, Ohio, 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at North Grove Methodist church on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the pastor, Rev E.B. Stewart. Music was furnished by a mixed quartette, Miss Mary Swisher, Mrs Carl Bentley, Leonard Calhoun and Ralph Orme, singing three numbers, "In the Garden" "Face to Face" and "Does Jesus Care," the accompanist being Mrs Archie Van Alstine. Pallbearers were G.W. Humphrey, G.L.A. Peterson, Ed Pullen, John Clayton, Larry Whitehead and Isaac Slack. Burial was in the North Grove cemetery.
