He had not been well for several years and had been residing at the Good Samaritan Center, Pocahontas, since October 1964. Funeral services were held Monday morning in Sacred Heart church with Rev. Born August 15, 1888 at Ventura, Mr. Edmundson moved to Pocahontas with his parents when he was a child. He operated a Pocahontas restaurant for several years, later farmed near Madelia, Minn., and upon returning to Pocahontas in 1943, operated a shoe repair business until retirement in 1960. Nov. 27, 1916 he married Margaret Hammes at Pocahontas. She survives as do two daughters, Mrs. Dale Westell of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Wayne Southard of Des Moines; five grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Betty Clark of Pocahontas, Mrs. Christina Halford and George Edmundson, both of Clear Lake. Those from a distance who attended the funeral Monday were Mrs. Christina Halford, Mrs. and Mrs. George Edmundson, Robert Halford and Mrs. Martin Boehenke, all of Clear Lake; Mrs. Florence Benner and Mrs. and Mrs. Arthur Abel of Ventura; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Leinen, Portsmouth; Sister M. Pauline, R.S.M. and Sister M. Sebastian, R.S.M., Council Bluffs; Mrs. Freida Peiffer, Mrs. Arthur Peiffer, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hammen, Fonda; Mr. and Mrs. Fay Galbreath, Albert City; Mr. and Mrs. Leo P.
