Read More	Dayton Review April 11, 1918 Obituary Edward Franklin Johnson was born in Milan, Ill., October 3, 1869, and passed away at his home in Burnside Sunday afternoon, April 7, 1918, aged 48 years, 6 months and 4 days. He came with his parents to Burnside in March, 1886, and has since lived in the community. He was united in marriage to Miss Lillian May Goltry, March 15, 1893. Five sons and two daughters were born to this union; one daughter, baby Faith, preceded him in death a number of years ago; the others together with the bereaved wife, his aged mother, two brothers, and a sister, survive him. In 1891 he united with the Baptist church in Burnside, of which he has since been a faithful and consistent member, serving as deacon and treasurer of the church at the time of his death. Since 1910, he has served as rural carrier out of Burnside, and he was stricken with heart failure while out on his route last Friday, although he was enabled to complete his trip, and was therefore ill but two days, although his health had not been strong for some time. His funeral was held yesterday forenoon from the Baptist church of Burnside, Rev. Wooten, his pastor, conducting the services, and his remains were interred in the cemetery at Dayton. The deceased was always a man of integrity, highly respected by all who knew him. Always cordial in his personal relationship, he easily made and kept friends by his kindly traits of character. He was ever ready to assist in every good work for his community, as well as his church and kindred organizations, and his loss will be felt among us, as well as on the mail route he served so long and so faithfully.
