Description	:	Mr. Edward Riggin, well-known painting contractor, died last Sunday in the Ft. Howard Veterans Hospital in Baltimore, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was 63 years of age. Born in this city, he was the son of the late Seth and Mary Sterling Riggin. With his wife, Mrs. Hazel Nelson Riggin, he resided on State Street. Howard Veterans Hospital in Baltimore, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was 63 years of age. Born in this city, he was the son of the late Seth and Mary Sterling Riggin. With his wife, Mrs. Hazel Nelson Riggin, he resided on State Street. Mr. Riggin was a quiet and friendly man who was recognized as unsually efficient in his profession and he enjoyed a wide acquaintance and a large circle of warm friends. He was a fine type of citizen in every way. He served in the U. S. Army in World War I, and was a member of Stanley Cochrane Post No 16 of the American Legion of Crisfield. Funeral services were held Thursday at 1.00 p. m. in the Bradshaw - Covington Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. A. T. McFarland, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Church. Burial was in the American Legion Cemetery here. Fellow members of the Legion acted as pallbearers and final military honors were paid him at the graveside. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hazel Nelson Riggin; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Hudson, of Dover, Del., and Mrs. Alice Smith of Baltimore; four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Galloway, Mrs. Carey Evans, Mrs. Will Dize, and Mrs. Martha Evans, and two brothers, Sidney Riggin and Wes Riggin, all of Crisfield; and three grandchildren.
