He died at the Avera Rosebud Country Care Center, March 10, 2008 at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 21 days. Edward graduated from Saint Charles High School in May, 1940. He lived most of his life on his farm and ranch east of Herrick, SD. He knew and loved the country life. He was involved in water conservation in this area. In November 2006 he moved into the Rosebud Care Center due to failing health. Edward was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, in August of 1975, his mother Lydia in March of 1977, and his sisters Mildred Cerny and Mae Raterman. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burke, SD. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Burke. There will be a rosary on Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to both services at the Church.
