Description	:	18 Jan 1918 Boone Co Democrat Edward Wilson Jones, a son of Richard and Henrietta Jones, was born on a farm near Ames, Iowa, May 13, 1868. His early years were spent on the home farm atending the country school. He attended high school in Ames for a short time and then went to the Capital City Commercial College at Des Moines, from which place he was graduated. Read More	18 Jan 1918 Boone Co Democrat Edward Wilson Jones, a son of Richard and Henrietta Jones, was born on a farm near Ames, Iowa, May 13, 1868. His early years were spent on the home farm atending the country school. He attended high school in Ames for a short time and then went to the Capital City Commercial College at Des Moines, from which place he was graduated. His first position was that of Deputy County Auditor of Story County at Nevada. Later on he was connected with the Boone Blank Book as salesman and manager for a period of nine years. In 1901, he engaged in real estate business in Crookston, Minn., which business received his attention and the best years of his life. He was united in marriage May 18, 1892 with Miss Alice Johnson, to which union there were two sons born, Noble K. of LeMars, Iowa, and Lowell E., who with his mother has resided in San Diego, California for the last five months. After closing a successful business experience of sixteen years in Crookston, he had just gone to San Diego to join his family in their future home. He was permitted this joy for a period of only one week, death having called him on Dec. 22nd, at the age of 49 years, 7 months and 19 days. In addition to his wife and two sons his aged father and mother and two brothers, Thomas L. and Wilbur G. all of this city remain to mourn his going.
