Description	:	Edwin Davis was born in Llanvair, Monmouthshire, England, on August 15, 1863, and died Sunday, January 20, 1935 at a hospital in Beatrice, Neb., where he had been since the first of January. Moving first to Devauden Green, Monmouthshire, he later came to the United States at the age of 17, and settled for two years in Ohio. To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive: Mrs. Alice Moxham, James W., and Mrs. Margaret Eickman, all of Chester, Neb.; Mrs. Army Jeffries of Wymore, Neb.; Mrs. Mae Lane of Alma, Neb.; Mrs. Helen Palmer of Deshler; and Miss Leota Davis of Craig, Neb. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; one brother, William, and a sister, Mrs. Hannah Jones, both living in England; a nephew, Reginald Whitman of Belleville; and many other relatives. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church (sic) in Chester, conducted by the Rev. R.H. Chenoweth. Interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic).
