Description	:	Helen Ivy Palmer, daughter of Edwin and Winnie Etta Larkins Davis was born in Republic County July 15, 1902, and died at the Republic County Long Term Care in Belleville December 20, 1982, at the age of 80 years five months and five days. She received her elementary education at the Liberty Center Rural School in Republic County and attended the Wymore High School for two years. She was united in marriage to Clarence Elmore Palmer May 5, 1921, and to this union seven children were born. She was raised in the Chester Community, and moved to Belleville in 1971. She was... Read More	Helen Ivy Palmer, daughter of Edwin and Winnie Etta Larkins Davis was born in Republic County July 15, 1902, and died at the Republic County Long Term Care in Belleville December 20, 1982, at the age of 80 years five months and five days. She received her elementary education at the Liberty Center Rural School in Republic County and attended the Wymore High School for two years. She was united in marriage to Clarence Elmore Palmer May 5, 1921, and to this union seven children were born. She was raised in the Chester Community, and moved to Belleville in 1971. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Chester, later transferring her membership to the Central Christian Church of Belleville. She served as matron and her husband as superintendent of the Boys Home in Diller, Nebr., for six years. She was a member of the Christians Women's Fellowship, the Sew and So Club of Belleville, and the Fort Butler Rock and Gem Club of Hebron, Nebr. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Beth Ann, three sisters, one brother. She is survived by her husband, Clarence of the home; six children: Philip of Big Spring, Tex., Mrs. Raymond (Loetta) Duey of Haddam, Mrs. Douglas (Dorothy) Duey of Lincoln, Nebr., Elmore of Lake Jackson, Tex., Mrs. Duane (Donna) Snyder of Mankato, Mrs. Loyd (Edith) Kleen of York, Nebr.; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Lane of Alma, Nebr. and Mrs. Arthur (Leota) Glasgow of Powell, Wyo.; 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held December 23 at the Central Christian Church of Belleville, conducted by the minister, Lon Hardy. Interment was in Chester, Nebr. Cemetery.
