On Jun 22, 1941, he married Mildred I. Hanes, who preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Richard E., Lima; three daughters: Rosalind 'Rose' (John) Burgess, Patricia 'Pat' (Cliff) Edgecomb and Nancy Neumeier, all Lima; a sister, Joan Klingler, Sidney; and seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was a trustee for 12 years with the Eagles #370, Lima, where he had been a member for over 53 years. He had been a loan officer with the Circle Diamond Credit Union, now Superior Credit Union, and was a member of the Lima Men's Garden Club. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of people. Services will be at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, with Rev. Michael Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
