Baker of the Baptist Church. Music for the service was furnished by Mrs. W. D. Costello accompanied by Mrs. J. E. Ellison. Edwin Hamilton, son of James and Sarah Piburn was born December 30, 1865. On March 4, 1890 he was married to Delilah Anna McFarland and they immediately started farming south east of Hastings, after which he lived on a couple of farms of Adam Gipe until the spring of 1904. He then purchased the farm at White Cloud where he lived until his death. He passed away in a Council Bluffs, Hospital, Friday May 21, 1948, at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 21 days. He is survived by three children, Harry Piburn of Omaha, Edna Hammack of Des Moines, and Alice Smith of Council Bluffs, all of whom were with him during the last illness. Besides his three children, he leaves to mourn his loss four grandsons, Virgil Hammack of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Edward and Donald Piburn of Bellevue, Nebraska and Dr. Marvin Piburn of Iowa City, and three great grandsons and one brother, Dr. J. L. Piburn who made his home with the deceased for the past several years, also several nephews and nieces. Casket bearers were his four grandsons above mentioned and two cousins, Donald and Franklin Vestal. Flowers cared for by Mrs. Roy Parker and Mrs. Vern Walker. Burial was in the family lot in the Malvern Cemetery. He was a good husband and father, loved by his family and honored and respected by all who knew him. those attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Piburn and Mr. and Mrs. William Hook and daughter of Martinsville, Missouri; Mrs. Sarah Fish and Thomas Fitzgerald of Eaginville, Missouri; Vernon Fitzgerald of Bethany, Missouri, Mr. and Mrs. Wood Vestal and Franklin of Grant, Mr. and mrs. Donald Vestal and family of Cromwell, Mr. and Mrs. John McFarland and Family and Lenora McFarland of Kent, Ed McFarland of Red Oak, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Churchman and family, Farragut, Mr. and mrs. John Otis, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Addy, and Mrs. Flosie Butcher of Imogene, Mr. and Mrs. f. H. McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Clough, Mr. and Mrs. J. Larkin, Nelson B.
