Edwin Harold Milner, son of Robert and Maude Milner, was born in Republic County, Kansas, on March 18, 1906. He attended the Republic City high school and was graduated with the class of 1925. On May 25, 1927, he was married to Blanche Figgins in Washington, Kansas. The family was engaged in farming and moved to Nebraska in 1935 and then to Colorado in 1940. In the spring of 1955, "Pete," as he was known by his friends, moved with his family to Holyoke and he started to work for the Phillips County road department. He was a member of the United Methodist church in Holyoke. He was a sports enthusiast and loved hunting and collecting Indian arrowheads. His greatest enjoyment was time spent with his family, friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife, Blanche; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Sweeney, Imperial, Nebraska; Mrs. Leo Knight, Escondido, California; Mrs. Dale Hofmeister and Mrs. Robert Briggs, Wray. A son, Roger, Akron; a sister, Mrs. Leonard DeNoyer, North Loop, Nebraska; four brothers, Lawrence, Imperial, Nebraska, John, Belleville, Kansas, Sam and Max, Silver Lake, Kansas. Nineteen grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
