Read More	Edwin Jacob Frerichs of Hildreth, Nebraska passed away on November 26th, 2011 at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 1 day at the Golden Living Center in Franklin, Nebraska. Edwin was born on April 25th, 1928 near Gurley, Nebraska. Edwin was one of fourteen children born to Jacob and Anna (Sanders) Frerichs. Edwin was baptized June 3rd, 1928 at Wyerts Lutheran Church by Rev. B.C. Wiebke and confirmed June 14th, 1942 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. A.C. Huth. He has been an Elder and Officer of both the Ash Grove Lutheran Church and the Grace Lutheran Church in Franklin. He was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church for forty-four years. Edwin married Evonne "Bonnie" Bartels February 16th, 1949 in Upland, Nebraska and to this marriage four children where born. Edwin served our country in the Army from February 1952 to November 1953 attached to the Third Division, 15th Infantry, Company C during the Korean War. Edwin lived near Gurley and Dalton in western Nebraska until age 18. He then moved to a farm north of Bloomington and farmed there and near Macon and later near Minden. He enjoyed farming and trying new methods of farming. In his spare time he enjoyed wood working and building and remodeling homes. He especially enjoyed having his family around him. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Peggy Covey, his son, Bruce Frerichs, nine brothers and four sisters. Edwin is survived by his wife Evonne "Bonnie"; sons, Gary Frerichs of Hildreth, Douglas and wife Susan of Omaha, grand-children; David (Erin) of Iasi, Romania, Daniel of Omaha, Christopher (Shanna) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Luci Anne of Chicago, Illinois, Emily and Jackson both of Omaha, Nebraska; five great grand-children; Zeke, Marit, Levi, Balin and Brocklin and a host of relatives and friends. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska with full military rites.
