Description	:	CRYSTAL LAKE -- Edwin Brown, 74, of Crystal Lake, died Monday (Dec. 25, 1989) at Hancock Memorial Hospital, Britt, of natural causes. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Crystal Lake, with the Rev. Ed Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt. Visitation is after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Britt. He was born July 3, 1915, in Houston, Mo., a son of Melvin and Anna (Brooks) Brown. Visitation is after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Britt. He was born July 3, 1915, in Houston, Mo., a son of Melvin and Anna (Brooks) Brown. When he was an infant, his family moved to the Britt area. He attended rural schools near Britt. He married Dorothy Swaney on Aug. 21, 1936, in the Methodist parsonage, Britt. They farmed in the Britt area until 1948 when they moved to Crystal Lake and continued to farm. He also farmed for Elmer Hrubes for 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, Crystal Lake; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Darlene) Klasse, Forest City; Mrs. Ronald (Arlis) Hanna, Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. James (Linda) Anderson, Leland; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Blanche Brown and Velma Brown, both of Garner, and Mrs. Albert (Marlene) Oudekerk, Swaledale; and one brother, Merle, of Forest City.
