Description	:	Melvin W. Brown, 76, died Friday at Hancock County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Britt, preceded by a prayer service for the family at Broughton Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Segerstrom will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The son of John and Rose Wallace Brown, he was born March 18, 1893, at Houston, Mo. He was married to Anna F. Brooks Jan. 1, 1914. Surviving are three sons, Edwin, Crystal Lake; Kenneth, Britt; Merle, Forest City; four daughters, Blanche, Verle and Velma Brown, all of Garner; Mrs. Albert Oudekirk, Rockwell; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Etta McKinney and Mrs. Elmer Haney, both of Houston.
