Mrs. Dawson, who had been in failing health for the past several years, had been a resident of this city for over 65 years and had many friends through Rochester and vicinity. Effie [CAMPBELL], daughter of James and Caroline (DENISTON) CAMPBELL, was born Oct. 20, 1864, in Preble county, O. On Oct. 7, 1884, she was married to George V. DAWSON at Dayton, O. Her husband, well known druggist, preceded her in death in 1942. Mrs. Dawson was a member of the Rochester Baptist church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an active worker in both of these organizations for many years. Survivors are two granddaughters, Mrs. Carolyn ENSIGN, South Bend, and Mrs. Joan TIPMORE, of near Akron, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Baptist church. The Rev. James NIVEN of Greenwood and the Rev. Richard MITCHELL, pastor of the Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from noon Wednesday until the hour of the services.
