Eileen was born Sept. 10, 1943, in Omaha, Neb., to Veronica and Henry Paasch. Eileen graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1961. She attended Duchesne College of Omaha, Neb., and graduated in 1965. She was employed as a teacher for Omaha Public Schools and later taught at Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto Rico. In 1972, while on vacation, she met Dr. Gene Wilkins of Ennis. They were married on Dec. 28, 1973. They raised four children. Upon her youngest child beginning school, she returned to teaching and served on the Ennis school board for several years. She continued teaching until recently when her illness prevented it. She loved working with young people and was active in assisting with scouting and 4-H. She was active in the St. Patrick's Parish. She was a eucharistic minister and a presider. Her faith was a very important aspect of her wonderful outlook on life and was the foundation of the love she with everyone. She enjoyed nature, reading, listening to music and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her happiest moments were having her family together at her home on the lake. She enjoyed people of all ages, especially young people; she was a positive influence on many people's lives. She was loved by many and had a unique optimistic outlook on life. She is survived by husband, Gene; sons and daughter-in-laws, Jay and Heidi Wilkins of Belgrade, and Jamie, currently serving in Iraq, and Julie Wilkins of Helena; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Mark Schreiber of Sheridan, Wyo.; daughter, Julie Wilkins of Oakdale, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Chase, Cameron, Kiley and Grayce Wilkins; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret Ann and Don Price of Denver, Mary Alyce and Robert Behrns of Englewood, Colo.; twin sister, Kathleen and Larry Peterson of Elkhorn, Neb.; sister-in-law, Janice Paasch of Elkhorn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Veronica and Henry Paasch, and brother, Lowell Paasch. A vigil will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Ennis. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Church with interment at the Madison Valley Cemetery. Visitation runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the K&L Mortuary of Ennis. Memorials: Madison County Volunteer Hospice and St. Patrick's Church, Ennis, or an organization of the donor's choice.
