Pullin, owner and operator of Valley View Service Station near Valley Center, died at University Hospital In Charlottesville on Monday, Nov. 19 from an injury suffered in a fall from the roof of a building at his home Sunday. Mr. Pullin was born in Highland on Sept. 11, 1885. The son Eldridge C. and Louisa Bird Pullin, and was reared and spent his entire life in and near the Mill Gap section. Before entering the mercantile business 20 years ago, he was a farmer. On Oct. 9, 1912, he was married to Jessie Mae Rexrode of Hightown, who preceded him in death 10 years ago. Surviving are his present wife, Grace Hiner Rexrode Pullin; a son. Ralph of Sioux Palls, S.D.; a daughter, Mrs. Viola Rexrode of Hampton; a brother, Rev. C. M. Pullin of Salem; a sister, Mrs. W. C. Sponaugle of Roanoke, four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Beulah Presbyterian.
