Description	:	Highland Recorder March 15, 1946 Mrs. E. A. Pullin passed away at her home near Valley Center on Sunday morning, March 3, 1946. She had been ill with a paralytic stroke since the latter part of December, but had improved & was able to be up & about her home. Pullin passed away at her home near Valley Center on Sunday morning, March 3, 1946. She had been ill with a paralytic stroke since the latter part of December, but had improved & was able to be up & about her home. Mrs. Pullin was born Jessie May Rexrode, on December 26, 1881, daughter of George A. & Mary Folks Rexrode, late residents of the Hightown community. She was reared to young womanhood in that community & on October 9, 1912 was married to Elbert A. Pullin of Mill Gap, by whom she is survived. To this union were born one son & one daughter, both of whom survive, Ralph C. Pullin of St. Paul, Minnesota & Mrs. Boyd Rexrode of Valley Center. She is also survived by one grandchild, Audrey Pullin & three sisters, Mrs. Will Palmer of Minnehaha Springs, West Va., Mrs. Albert Smith & Miss Amanda Rexrode of Hightown, Va. Mrs. Pullin was a woman of exceptional character, a devoted wife and mother & one of the first in her, community to be called on in case of sickness. She was faithful in her attendance at Church services, being a member of the Methodist Church since young womanhood. She lived a very quiet but useful life and will be greatly missed by both family and community. Funeral services were conducted from Beulah Church on Tuesday morning, March 5 at 11 o’clock, by her pastor, Rev. L.P. Foley, assisted by Rev. A. E, Johnson. The lovely floral offering was carried by nieces; Lucille Rexrode, Mary Katherine Smith, Clara Wade, Nell Barrett, Mrs. George Hevener, Mrs. Sidney Lowery, Mrs. Elsie Hull, Anesla Collins, Mrs. Clyde Buzzard, Mary Etta Hevener, Mrs. Willie Sampson, Mrs. Herbert Rexrode, Mrs. Roy Hevener Norma Lee Sampson. Remains were laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining Green Hill Church. The large crowd in attendance attested to the esteem in which the deceased was held.
