Description	:	Eldon Mike Shin, 88, the son of F.W. Shinn and Martha (Sherman) Shinn, was born June 4, 1920, at Hubbell. He died Sunday at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home, Hebron. Mike attended the Loyalty Rural School near Hubbell. Following his schooling, he made his home in Chester, where he was involved with various jobs. He worked for farmers and drove trucks during harvest and planting. Mike also drove the star mail route between Hastings and Superior for many years. In 2003, he moved to Hebron. He attended the United Methodist Church at Chester. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Anthon, George and Richard; sisters, Louise Hayes and Ruby Hill; nephews, Robert Shinn and Roy Hill; and a great nephew, Tony Kintigh. Survivors include his nephews, Neil, Steven, George, Tim, Wes, Donald, Stace and Norman Shinn, Russell and Paul Hill, Harold, Robert and Cecil Hayes; and nieces, Leaet Ordon, Marjorie Everhart, Pat Reed and Joyce Cox. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Chester, with the Rev. Mark Baldwin, officiating. Interment will follow at the Chester Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Chester. Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Chester, is in charge of arrangements.
