Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden is in charge of the arrangements. Eleanor was born June 25, 1930, the eighth child of Roy M. and Bertha M. (Wirth) Taylor, in Liberty Township, Minden. She was baptized Sept. 19, 1937, and confirmed in the Presbyterian faith at First Presbyterian Church in Minden. In 1931, her family moved to the Fredricksburg Community in Cosmo Township. She attended Hinterlong School, District 14 and Minden Public School. On March 15, 1947, she married LeRoy C. Flesner. Four children were born to them, Sharon, Ramona, Rodney and Marshall. They lived on a farm in Hayes Township until LeRoy passed away on Dec. 28, 1964, after 17 years of marriage. Eleanor and her family then moved into Minden. On Nov. 5, 1969, she married LaVerne G. Trine, and she acquired three stepchildren, Janice, Leland and Sheila. She and LaVerne were married 35 years before his death on Sept. 5, 2005. Eleanor lived in the Minden area all her life. Eleanor enjoyed her flowers, sending cards to her friends and Saturday morning coffee with her family. Sending birthday cards with shiny pennies inside to all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren was a special reminder of her love for them. Eleanor was a special blessing to all who knew her. She had a smile for everyone who came to see her. Eleanor is survived by her four children and their spouses, Sharon and Charley Gies, Ramona and Donnie Vogt and Marshall and Rhonda Flesner, all of Minden, and Rodney and Karen Flesner of North Platte; stepdaughters and their spouses, Jan and Wayne Timm of Hastings and Sheila and Irvin Curry of Perkinston, Miss.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren whom she was very fond of. Eleanor is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rose Taylor of Minden. Eleanor was preceded in death by her two husbands; one stepson, Leland Trine; her parents; three sisters; four brothers; and sister-in-law, LaVonne Bundgaard.
