Oller, whose death occurred on Wednesday of last week, and the account of which was printed in the Star last week, were attended on last Friday afternoon by a large crowd of people. The M.E. church in this city, where the services were held, was crowded, some being compelled to stand. Appropriate songs were sung by a mixed quartet composes of J. P. Boshell, Wallace G. Case, Mrs. V. J. Allderdice and Mrs. Ralph Murray. Rev. C. C. Brown, the local M. E. pastor, read the Scripture lesson, after which Rev. A Burrill led in an earnest prayer. For several years, he was pastor of the Wilmore circuit. Rev. B. H. Davis, the present Methodist pastor at Wilmore, then preached the sermon, using as his text, "Blessed are they which die in the Lord. They shall rest from their labors, and their works do follow them."-Rev. 14:13. His message was a practical, timely and comforting one. The floral offerings were profuse, and were silent testimonies of the love and esteem in which the deceased was held. The pall bearers were six of the pioneer settlers in this county - E. G. Carthrae, W. E. Beeley, J. W. Stark, D. E. Barnes, Edward Deewall and J. M. McCay. Interment was made in Crown Hill Cemetery, near this city. The following obituary of the deceased was read by Rev. Davis: Obituary Elidiah A. Heaton was born on November 27, 1857, in Knox-co., Ill., and died at her home in Coldwater, Kansas, on November 21, 1928, aged 60 years and 4 days. At the age of 17, she moved with her parents from Illinois to Comanche-co., Kansas and here she continued to reside. On June 5, 1889, she was united in marriage with Wm. Oller. To this union five children were born, all of whom were present during her last illness and at the funeral services. She is survived, also, by her husband, five brothers and three sisters, as follows: N. C. Heaton of Pueblo, Colo.; J. H., J.C., E.S. and Homer Heaton, who live near Alva, Okla.; Mrs. Ida Hodgman of Grand Ridge, Ill.; Mrs. Eva Overocker of Coldwater, Kans.; Mrs. Maude McHugh of Alva, Okla. All were present at the funeral except Mrs. Hodgman and N. H. Heaton. The children are; Albert C. Oller, Mrs. Mabel Robinson, Roy W., Ernest M. and Ralph C. Oller, all of this county. She is also survived by nine grandchildren-five boys and four girls. Mrs. Oller was reared in a Christian home, and in later years she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church. Throughout all the years she labored as best she could for the happiness and comfort of those about her. She lived a devoted Christian life, and as a neighbor and friend was also true to the highest instincts of womanhood, and she lived a life dominated by the spirit of Christ. But now her voice is stilled, her early life is ended, yet to the memory of all who knew her she will live forever. Note: Newspaper had Elidah's birth date wrong.
