Read More	Belleville (KS) Telescope - 19 May 1921 Obituary of Eliza Ann Dovel Eliza Ann Dovel was born April 29 (sp), 1839 in Page county, Virginia and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Thomas, on the 10th day of May 1921 at the age of eighty-two years and fifteen days. Thus reaching a good age. On the 14th day of December 1875 she was united in marriage to J.D.M. Dovel of Page county, Virginia and to this union were born two children: Mrs. Frank Thomas of Narka, Kansas; and William D. Dovel of Delphos, Kansas. In 1882 the family moved from Page county, Virginia to Nemaha county, Neb., and in 1883 to Republic county, Kansas, and in 1908 to Narka, Kansas where she lived until death called her to her reward. The deceased leaves to mourn her death; her beloved husband, who will miss the long time companionship of her as no one else, and our prayers are that God may comfort him in his lonely hours with the hope of meeting her again in the great beyond never to part again. One daughter, Mrs. Frank Thomas, of Narka, Kansas; one son William D. Dovel of Delphos, Kansas; one step-son Milton O. Dovel of Orlando, Florida; two brothers, George W. Koontz of Honeyville, Virginia; D.J. Koontz of Vernon, Texas; seven grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. As a wife and mother Mrs. Dovel was an ideal woman, loving her home and faithfully doing her duties God had entrusted to her. As a neighbor she was considerate, kind, and loved by everybody. In 1884 she united with the United Brethren church, known as the Round Grove church, and when she moved to Narka she united with the Methodist Episcopal church of which she remained a faithful member till the Lord called her to the membership of the church triumphant. The services were conducted by Rev. R.J. Zeidler, her pastor and the remains laid to rest in the Ida cemetery southwest of Narka.
