She married 22 February 1897 STEPHEN FORSDICK of Chester, Nebr., a widower, age 61. She lived all her married life in Chester, Nebr. She died 11 March 1922 at Chester after a prolonged illness, age 55, Funeral services were held at the Chester Methodist church and burial at the Chester cemetery. She was survived by her sister LAVINIA ( Mrs. D,L, HM) and a nephew. Her husband STEPHEN FORSDICK died 29 January 192? at Sidney, Nebr. age 91 years, 3 months and 21 days. He is buried at the Chester cemetery. There were no children born to STEPHEN and ELIZA (HOWE) FORSDICK. HER PARENTS WERE: Children born to JOHN NELSON and HARRIET (ROBERTS) HOWE at Tiskilwa, ILL ELIZA HOWE and sister LAVINIA 0. HOWE, born 20 October 1861. MARRIED DAVID HAM. ================= The Chester Herald (Chester, NE), Friday, February 26, 1897 Married FORSDICK-HOWE- At the residence of the Rev,. John Hindman in Chester, Nebraska, on Monday evening, February 22, 1897, Mr. Stephen Forsdick of Chester, and Miss Eliza Howe of Denton, Nebraska, Rev. J. Hindman officiating. At last we have the pleasure of chronicling the marriage of our genial postmaster, Stephen Forsdick. We have been looking forward to this event for some time, and the boys have been laying for Steve for months, but he was too sharp for them and outwitted them in great shape, and the ceremony came off and no one was the wiser until the next day. Miss Eliza Howe came down from Denton on the afternoon train Monday and repaired to the quarters prepared for her reception, and at night when all was still and the day's work was done, Steve quietly locked his office up, and quickly he did run, unto the boudoir of his frau, and soon they were made one, and the boys were Cheated from their fun. Mr. and Mrs. Forsdick will receive the congratulations of their friends at their home, the last house on South Thayer street (sic) The HERALD wishes them long life, and a happy, joyous journey down the sea of time.
