Description	:	Eliza White Martin, 89, of Tye Brook Highway, Piney River, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at the Lovingston Health Care Center. Born October 11, 1917, in Nelson Co. (Davis Creek), she was the daughter of the late Corbett White and Emily Huffman White. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Raymond Martin; and her daughter, Katherine Johnson. Mrs. Martin was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and a member of Rose Union Baptist Church at Piney River in excess of 60 years. She is survived by her devoted children; Joyce M. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Raymond Martin; and her daughter, Katherine Johnson. Mrs. Martin was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and a member of Rose Union Baptist Church at Piney River in excess of 60 years. She is survived by her devoted children; Joyce M. Johnson and her husband, Charles, and David W. Martin and his wife, Theresa, all of Faber; two sister,; Gertrude Martin of Piney River and Mary Evans of Massies Mill; three brothers, Warren White of Madison Heights, Wilson White of Roseland and John White of Lowesville; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Rose Union Baptist Church, with the Reverend John Campbell and the Reverend John Gordon officiating, with interment at the Jonesboro Cemetery at Roseland. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007, at the funeral home, and all other times at their residences. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Alzheimer's Society.
