In her childhood she, with her parents, moved to Keokuk, Iowa. When she was ten years of age the family moved to Fairmont, Nebraska, where the daughter made her home until the year 1909. Elizabeth Alberta Hall was born September 8, 1861, at Millerstown, Pennsylvania. In her childhood she, with her parents, moved to Keokuk, Iowa. When she was ten years of age the family moved to Fairmont, Nebraska, where the daughter made her home until the year 1909. On September 28, 1881, she was married to John Austin of Fairmont. To this union were born eight children, the eldest, Elmer, died at the age of three years. The remaining seven children are: Mrs. Ross Dorrance of Fairmont, Nebr.; Cloid L. of Seward, Nebr.; Mrs. Charles Matheny of Washington, D.C.; Chester of Burlington, Colorado; William G. of Lincoln, Thelma Petersen of Loveland, Colorado; and Frank Dale of Burlington, Colorado. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, seven children, two brothers and four grandchildren. Mrs. Spahr was, for many years a member of the Methodist church. She loved her church and was faithful in attendance at all the services. She was a member of the Ladies Aid and enjoyed working with the women of that society. She could always be depended upon to do her part and very much more. Even during her illness, she enquired about the work of the society and expressed regret that she could not help in a banquet that was given last week. Mrs. Spahr was an ideal wife and mother, a Christian, a good neighbor and a friend to all. The community will always be better because she has lived in it. All will remember her for her kindness of heart and gentle spirit. In an age when the home seems to be breaking down, women like Mrs. Spahr are invaluable. She loved her home and found her greatest delight in caring for her husband and children. All the world would be better if we had more mothers like Mrs. Spahr. Early Sunday morning, March 5th, she heard the summons and responded. She has gone the way of all the earth and her works do follow her--Burlington (Colorado) Record. The body of Mrs. Spahr was brought to Fairmont Tuesday on Train No. 3 and funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ross Dorrance, Rev. A.G.
