Description	:	Mrs. Ross (Viola May) Dorrance of Fairmont was born November 16, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Austin Spahr, who were pioneer residents of Fairmont. She passed away at Fillmore County hospital in Geneva Tuesday, August 7, 1973, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 21 days. She was married to Ross Dorrance, November 16, 1909. Her love of flowers was... Read More	Mrs. Ross (Viola May) Dorrance of Fairmont was born November 16, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Austin Spahr, who were pioneer residents of Fairmont. She passed away at Fillmore County hospital in Geneva Tuesday, August 7, 1973, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 21 days. She was married to Ross Dorrance, November 16, 1909. Together, they operated a general merchandise store in Fairmont for many years. Mrs. Dorrance was active in the Grace Methodist church, and was given a 50-year pin for membership in the WSCS. Her love of flowers was known throughout her neighborhood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross; four brothers, Glenn, Cloyd, Chester and frank; and by a sister, Thelma. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Charles Matheny of Loveland, Col., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 10, 1973, at the United Methodist Church, Fairmont, with Rev. John E. Stayton officiating. Musical selections were "Still, Still with Thee" and "Son of My Soul." Mrs. Jerry Galusha was organist. Pallbearers were John Anderson, Everett Nichols, William Boren, Hubert E. McClellan, Claude A.
