Read More	OBITUARY OF ELIZABETH ANN HARRISON [1841-1921] "Mrs. E.A. Harrison. Mrs. Elizabeth Ann [Johnson] Harrison, was born in November [23], 1841 and died July 5 [6], 1921 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Maggie Berry, in Chicago. Mrs. Harrison was the mother of ten children, eight of whom survive to mourn her departure, the other two dying in infancy. Mrs. Harrison resided in Louisa County 62 years and 42 of these years were spent in Letts, where she won her many friends by her kindness to them and her great strength of character and loyalty for all that was good and honest. She has been in poor health many months and last fall it was decided best for her to accompany her daughter to her home in Chicago. Her death came very suddenly. Her remains were brought to Letts Friday morning, July 8th and funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hulse at eleven o'clock that morning at the U.B. Church. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Lettsville cemetery. We are sorry not to print the complete obituary, but we were unable to get it as it has been lost." Word was received here today of the death of Mrs. E[lizabeth] A[nn] Harrison at Chicago at 12:30 o'clock Tuesday [July 5] morning. Mrs. Harrison was the mother of D[avid] O[scar] Harrison of 1220 East Fourth street and was well known in Muscatine. She made her home at Letts for more than forty years, but for the past nine months has lived with a daughter, Mrs. W[illiam] Berry in Chicago. Death was due to a stroke of paralysis suffered nine months ago. Mrs. Harrison had attained the age of 80 years, and made her home in Iowa during the greater part of her life. To survive she leaves four sons, D[avid] O[scar] Harrison this city [Muscatine, Iowa], George Harrison of Gilman, Ill., Albert Harrison of Lincoln, Nebr., and Eugene Harrison of Los Angeles, and three daughters, Mrs. C[harles] Dowson of Detroit, Mrs. Berry of Chicago, and Mrs. R[ichard] W. Hankins of Tipton [Iowa]. Her husband [Isaac Harrison] preceded her in death nineteen years ago [January 15, 1901]. Mrs. D.O. Harrison was at her bedside at the time of her death. The remains will be brought to her former home in Letts Friday and services conducted from the United Brethren church at that place at 11 o'clock Friday morning.
