Elizabeth Ann Libby Rusk, age 75, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Golden Living Center Golden Rule. Born on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1942, in Richmond, Indiana, to Robert Russell and Mildred Wilhemina Smoker Tice, Libby grew up in Abington, Indiana. In her youth, she loved riding her horses on the family farm. Libby particularly loved her German shepherd dogs she owned throughout her life. In her teens, she was active in 4-H earning a 4-H Tenure award. Libby was also involved in Rural Youth for many years and traveled throughout Indiana to different activities sponsored by Rural Youth. She was a 1960 graduate of Centerville High School and a 1979 graduate of IUPUI with a masters degree in education. Libby taught at Seton Catholic School and Wernle Home. For many years she was a caretaker to area children when she had a day care in her home. After marrying her husband, Donald, on December 27, 1980, she left her beloved Abington and they made their home in Richmond. Libby was a member of Abington Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, bowling, traveling, and genealogy. Survivors include her husband, Donald Rusk of Richmond; brother, David (Vickie) Tice of Centerville, Indiana; nieces, Farrah Danielle Ridge of Centerville and Cassandra Maxine Tice of Indianapolis, Indiana; nephew, Ryan (Ashley) Tice of Centerville; sister-in-law, Linda Rusk of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother-in-law, David Eugene (Geneva) Rusk of Centerville; four great-nieces, Hailie, Madison, Taylor, and Alexandria; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation for Elizabeth Ann Libby Rusk will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Abington Christian Church, 6775 Abington Pike, Centerville with Rev. Bud Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery.
