Description	:	CENTERVILLE, Ind.--Mildred W. Smoker Tice, age 97, of Centerville,died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at Golden Rule Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of the Abington Christian Church, where she had been former treasurer and Sunday school teacher and involved in the Willing Workers. She was also a member of the Abington-Boston Home Demonstration Club. Mildred was an avid reader and seamstress, known for her pillow and quilts. Survivors include her son, David A. Tice and wife Vickie of Centerville, daughter, Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Rusk and husband Donald; three grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Tice of Terre Haute, Ind., Farrah and Jeremy... Tice and wife Vickie of Centerville, daughter, Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Rusk and husband Donald; three grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Tice of Terre Haute, Ind., Farrah and Jeremy Ridge of Centerville and Cassandra Tice of Centerville; one great-granddaughter, Hailie Ridge of Centerville; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Tice, who died in 1986; her parents; and three brothers, Clifford R. Smoker who died in 1993, Vernon W. Smoker, who died in 1970, and Paul L. Smoker, who died in 2004. Funeral service for Mildred W. Tice will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at the Abington Christian Church, Abington, Ind., with Rev. Bud Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., Centerville.
