She was born May 31, 1963, at the old St. Anthony’s Hospital in Wenatchee, WA, to her parents, Billy Raymond Zanol and Jacquelyn Marie (Short) Zanol. She was raised in Orondo, WA, in the house her father had built with her eight siblings: Mary Sue, Michael, Joan (Zanol) Steichen, John, Therese (Zanol) Hewitt, Thomas, Andrew and Anthony. Elizabeth attended Orondo Elementary School, then Sterling Jr. High School, and graduated from Eastmont High School in 1981. She attended Wenatchee Valley College and graduated from Seattle University with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a teaching major in Music. She first taught music at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Wenatchee. She then attended Central Washington University for her fifth year certification. She married Grant Daniel on October 10, 1992, in Wenatchee. They were blessed with five children: Noah David, Cullen Thomas, Emma Clare, Sophia Margaret and Lilian Grace. After her marriage, she taught kindergarten at Waterville Elementary School and pre-school at Orondo Elementary School. She also substitute taught on occasion. Elizabeth loved children, teaching and music. She studied and taught piano. Elizabeth is also survived by stepdaughters: Amy Rosas and Kelsey Symons; many cousins; nieces and nephews; and many friends, old and new. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Sue Zanol, Therese (Zanol) Hewitt and husband Marc Hewitt; her nephew, David Steichen; and her great-nephew, John Paul Emanuel Gulino; also her beloved grandparents, Leonard and Margaret Zanol and Howard and Angela Short. A viewing for friends will be held from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee, WA. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Chapel at 625 S. Elliott Avenue, Wenatchee, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wenatchee, WA. A luncheon will follow. Burial at the Orondo Cemetery is approximately 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. Joseph Catholic School Scholarship Fund.
