Findagrave contributor Barb Jones contributed the following obituary from The Miller Press, Miller, Hand, South Dakota, October 2, 1958, Vol 75 #51, p1 col 3 continued on p 7, col 1 Elizabeth Templeton, 91, Succumbs Sept. 27 Mrs. Elizabeth Templeton, 91, died Saturday, September 27, following an illness of several years. Mrs. Templeton, who had been cared for since last December at the home of Mrs. Arthur Johnson in Miller, had been hospitalized only a day when her death took place. A former resident of Rose Hill and Bates townships, Mrs. Templeton made her home with her son William for a number of years after the death of her husband, and later stayed with her daughter, Mrs. Gene Morrison. Despite her advanced age she was extremely active. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Rose Hill church, Rev. Ben Thaden of Huron officiating at the rites. At Mrs. Templeton's special request, made before her death, her granddaughter, Carolyn Morrison, sang at the service. Pallbearers were Ogee Johnson, William Todd, William Bell, Nova Palmer, Fred Miller and LeRoy Moser. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Gene Morrison, Wessington, and Mrs. E.O. Casperson of Iroquois and one son, William, St. Lawrence. She is also survived by a sister in Seattle, who is 94 years old, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
