Description	:	Elizabeth (Buescher) Schroer, daughter of Henry and Mary (Rempe) Buescher, was born in the St. Stephens community on October 25, 1892, and passed away on October 9, 1977, at about 7:30 a.m. at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 15 days. Read More	Elizabeth (Buescher) Schroer, daughter of Henry and Mary (Rempe) Buescher, was born in the St. Stephens community on October 25, 1892, and passed away on October 9, 1977, at about 7:30 a.m. at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 15 days. Elizabeth attended St. Stephens School and spent most of her life in that community, except for the 23 years of retirement spent in Lawrence and the 5 years spent in the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson. May 27, 1913, she was united in marriage to Frank J. Schroer at St. Stephens Church, Rev. Aloys Hahn officiating. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1963. After their marriage, they located on a farm near Mt. Clare, where they lived until they retired to a home in Lawrence in 1949. She was a life time member of the Catholic Church, honorary member of St. Stephens and Lawrence Altar Society and Auxiliary. Her family will miss her presence and devoted love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who died October 19, 1964; her son, Alfred, who died April 3, 1950; and brothers, Frank, John and Cornealious Buescher. She is survived by her three sons, Ernest of Nelson and Raymond and Hubert Schroer of Lawrence; two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Drudik and Mrs. Rosalia Buschkoetter, both of Lawrence; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a brother, George Buescher of Lawrence. Funeral services were held in the St. Stephens Church on Wednesday morning, October 12, with Father Edwin Stander offering the Requiem High Mass. Father Stander also officiated at the burial service in St. Stephens Cemetery.
