She passed away on February 5, 2005 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 17 days. Dolores grew up on the farm and attended St. Stephens School, rural Lawrence, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Vernon Menke on November 18, 1941 at St. Stephens Catholic Church. Dolores grew up on the farm and attended St. Stephens School, rural Lawrence, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Vernon Menke on November 18, 1941 at St. Stephens Catholic Church. This union was blessed with four children, Janet, James, Lucinda and Melvin. He preceded her in death. She later married Albert Drudik on February 1, 1955 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lawrence, Nebraska. This union was blessed with two children, Ronald and Arlan. Dolores lived in the St. Stephens and Lawrence area all her life. Dolores was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society and numerous card clubs. Preceding her in death were her parents, husbands, Vernon and Albert, one step-son, Bernard Drudik, two step daughters, Lorraine Spade and Norma Kohmetscher, and two brothers, Alfred and Ernest Schroer and two sons-in-law, Wayne Reinsch and Lou Kessler. Survivors include daughter, Janet Reinsch of Geneva, Nebraska; son, James Menke and wife Donna of Nelson, Nebraska; daughter, Lucinda Kessler of Lincoln, Nebraska; sons, Melvin Menke and wife Marie of Superior, Nebraska; Ronald Drudik and wife Janet of Juniata, Nebraska and Arlan Drudik and wife Cindy of Nelson, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, 15-great-grandchildren and 31 step- great-grandchildren, two brothers, Raymond Schroer of Nelson, Nebraska; Hubert Schroer and wife Alma and one sister, Rosalia Buschkoetter and husband Leonard all of Lawrence, Nebraska; nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 10:00AM from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence, Nebraska with Fr. Andrew Menke and Fr. Dennis Hunt officiating. Rosary services were held on Monday, February 7, 2005 at 7:30 PM from the Klawitter-Price Funeral Home in Nelson, Nebraska. Lector was Lavern Schroer, altar servers were Michael Schroer & Luke Schroer. Music was "Do Not Be Afraid", "Peace Prayer of St. Francis", "One Bread One Body", "Mother Dear- O Pray For Me" and "On Eagles Wings" with Sherri Buescher as song leader and Linda Ostdiek as organist. Pallbearers were Mark Reinsch, Beau Utecht, Adam Drudik, Justin Drudik, Rod Kohmetscher, and Tom Towne. Interment was in the St. Stephens Cemetery, Lawrence, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be given to the Sacred Heart Church. Klawitter-Price Funeral of Nelson, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
