Description	:	March 16, 1922 - Carroll Times - Elizabeth, the oldest daughter of Thomas and Anna Davis, was born in Aberdair, Glimorganshire, South Wales, January 3, 1858, and departed this life March 7, 1922, at the ago of 64 years, 2 months and 3 days. With her parents she came to Coal Valley, Illinois, at the age of 11 years, and in 1871 they moved to Carroll county, which has been her residence ever since. With her parents she came to Coal Valley, Illinois, at the age of 11 years, and in 1871 they moved to Carroll county, which has been her residence ever since. February 10, 1888 she was united in marriage to William Davis and to this union wore born eight children, three boys and five girls. Of this number, five have preceded her to the great beyond. The living are Bessie, Mrs. Fred Allen and Joy, all of Dedham, and who were with her in her last hours. She also leaves a sister, a brother, five cousins and a host of friends to mourn her departure. In early life she united with the Congregational church but later transferred her membership to the Baptist church of Carroll, of which she was a faithful member to the end. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Thursday afternoon, Rev. F.O. Codd, of Carroll, officiating.
