ELIZABETH TOWER Mrs. Elizabeth Tower, a resident of Montgomery County since 1867, died Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock at her home in the southwest part of Villisca her death resulting from liver trouble and from the effects of a stroke of paralysis which she suffered six weeks ago. Elizabeth Figgins was born in Penry County, Indiana on August 14, 1847, and was married to Chas. Archer near Villisca in 1879. To this union two sons were born. ELIZABETH TOWER Mrs. Elizabeth Tower, a resident of Montgomery County since 1867, died Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock at her home in the southwest part of Villisca her death resulting from liver trouble and from the effects of a stroke of paralysis which she suffered six weeks ago. Elizabeth Figgins was born in Penry County, Indiana on August 14, 1847, and was married to Chas. Archer near Villisca in 1879. To this union two sons were born. They are Hulbert and Albert Archer, both of Villisca. The husband died in 1880, and in 1889, Mrs. Archer was married to Wm. Tower near Grant. To this union one daughter was born, now Minnie Newberg, was born. Besides her children, Mrs. Tower leaves also a brother, Wm. Figgins, living north of Villisca and one sister, Mrs. Mary Moses of Canada. She has been a resident of Villisca for the last two years and she was a member of the Methodist Church of Grant. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon of this week at 1 o’clock at the home, with Rev E. S. Menoher in charge the service. Burial was in the Grant Cemetery. Those here from a distance to attend the funeral were Mrs. R. A. Higgins and son George of Afton. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Plager and little son Edmond, and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Bends and Wm.
