Description	:	**** ELIZABETH GEE **** Elizabeth Gee, daughter of Moses and Christina Gee, was born in Gallia county, Ohio, September 30, 1825. She came to Iowa with her parents when a small child. She was united in marriage to George Beatley at Keosauqua, in 1843 and moved to Wapello county, soon afterwards and lived in this city for the past 48 years. Read More	**** ELIZABETH GEE **** Elizabeth Gee, daughter of Moses and Christina Gee, was born in Gallia county, Ohio, September 30, 1825. She came to Iowa with her parents when a small child. She was united in marriage to George Beatley at Keosauqua, in 1843 and moved to Wapello county, soon afterwards and lived in this city for the past 48 years. To this union were born nine children, four of them with their father preceded her to the grave. She has made her home for the past few years with her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Hobbs, 513 Queen Ann avenue, where she passed away January 12, 1916, at the age of 90 years, three months and 12 days. She is survived by five children, Mrs. J. T. Hobbs, Mrs, Celinda Leason, Mrs. Sarah Curr, J. J. Beatley, all of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Hannah Hobbs of Sioux City, also nineteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The funeral was held at the home of her daughter January 14, at 10 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. I. Bussing, pastor of the Davis Street Christian church.
