Read More	________________________________________ Elizabeth Irene (Livengood) Kisner September 12, 1926 - June 18, 2014 ________________________________________ — BRUCETON MILLS, W.Va. — Elizabeth Irene Kisner, 87, of Bruceton Mills (Cherry Grove Community), passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. The daughter of the late Dewey Lloyd and Dora Mae Herring Livengood, she was born Sept. 12, 1926. Irene married Arlie Arlandis Kisner on Dec. 12, 1942 at Baltimore. Irene spent her life in the service of God and her community. She was an active member of the Mountain Dale Church of the Brethren where she sang with the choir and represented her church at the Community Sings. She gathered weekly for quilting with the Cuzzart Helping Hands. Irene also was a member of VFW Post 2523 Ladies Auxiliary and Senior Citizens, and a representative to the Silver Haired Legislature. She was happiest spending time with her family and friends especially at family reunions, dinners, or just serving her legendary buckwheat cakes on request. She preserved the fruits, vegetables, and meat raised on the family farm, and jars of dill pickles would mysteriously disappear from the shelf. Everyone Irene met was greeted as a friend, and she will be greatly missed by all. Irene is survived by a daughter and her husband, [Name withheld], of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons and their wives, [Name withheld], of Cherry Grove community, [Name withheld]of Pisgah community, and [Name withheld] of Frostburg; a very dear sister and her husband, [Name withheld] of Kingwood, W.Va.; and her youngest brother and his wife, [Name withheld], of Bruceton Mills. She is also survived by her (20) precious grandchildren who will always cherish the memory of their dear grandmother,and (33) great-grandchildren including three sets of twins; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Kisner in June 2005; an infant granddaughter, Alexandra Kisner; two sisters, Maxine Bishoff and Geraldine Fike; and two brothers, Hugh and Blaine Livengood. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Friday, June 20, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Mountain Dale Church of the Brethren, from noon until the 1 p.m. service with the Rev. Lewis Beatty and the Rev. Vicki D. Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in the Blooming Rose Cemetery, Friendsville. Cumberland Times News, June, 19, 2014
