Mrs. Pierson had been in poor health for the last year or longer, suffering from a complication of diseases in which rheumatism figured prominently. She had been bedfast nearly all winter. Deceased, whose maiden name was Eliza Jane Penelton, was born in Brampton. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Penelton, moved to Mono when she was a child and subsequently to Mulmur. She was a quiet, industrious woman, who was beloved by her family and close friends and well thought of by the neighborhood at large. Besides her husband she leaves a family of two sons and two daughters. The sons, Douglas and Clinton, enlisted in the 164th Battalion and saw service at the frON The latter was shell-shocked and is still under treatment in the Military hospitalin London. The daughters, Gladys and Guynall, are both living at home. Richard, William and Leslie Penelton, of Mulmur, Thos. Penelton, of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Peardon, of Mulmur, and Mrs. Alf. Still, of Mono, are the surviving brothers and sisters. Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the heart-broken husband and family in their time of loss and sorrow. The funeral will be held to St. John's Church Cemetery, 7th Line, Mono, at 2:30 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon.
